Thank you to everyone who entered our competition. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading through the wide range of ideas produced in response to the theme of ‘BURST’.
Your mini crit/basic crit/ detailed crit (whichever you opted for) will be emailed to you before the end of June, or posted if you provided means to do so.
I am hopeful to showcase the winning stories on this, the EWG competition website. I intend to include them (if I can manage it) also on a Facebook page ‘Writing Workshops and Competitions’ and you will also find a my blog in existence with the same title http://writingworkshopsandcompetitions.blogspot.co.uk/
Please follow us on Twitter @EWGCompetition
Don’t forget our Open Short Story Competition is inviting entries until September. We have separate entry categories for newbies writers/the unpublished, and another for the more experienced. As well as rewarding six winners with cash prizes, we’ve organised this competition so that with every entry you make you can choose a charity you’d like our cash donation to go to.
If your story is not listed here, please don't be discouraged. Writing for competitions is one of the best ways to hone your storytelling skills so please keep writing.
I wish you well with your writing and look forward to reading you again soon.
